Hurriganes was a hugely popular Finnish rock & roll ring formed in 1971 by Remu Aaltonen (vocals, drums), Cisse Häkkinen (bass, vocals), and Ile Kallio (guitar). Aerial M was the assumed name of multi-instrumentalist David Pajo, a seminal figure in the development of the post-rock aesthetic whose tenures in bands including Slint and Tortoise set the leg for some of the most innovational and influential music of late decades. He first surfaced in 1985 playing guitar in the legendary Louisville, KY, adolescent thrash band Squirrel Bait; following their 1987 detachment, Pajo joined Slint, a isthmus whose revolutionary implemental sound continues to resonate throughout the American underground scene.
