LONDON (Reuters) - Neil Diamond topped the British album charts on Sunday, days after he accomplished the same feat in the United States.

“Home Before Dark,” the singer-songwriter’s second, largely acoustic collaboration with producer Rick Rubin, opened at No. 1 in Britain, 16 years after his only other U.K. chart-topper, “The Greatest Hits 1962-1992,” the Official UK Charts Company said.

Also new on the U.K. chart was Pendulum’s drum and bass and dance-rock hybrid album “In Silico” at No. 2; Jay Sean’s “My Own Way” at No. 6; and Frank Sinatra’s “Nothing But The Best” at 10. Last week’s No. 1, “Jumping All Over the World” by German dance group Scooter, slipped to No. 3.

On the singles chart, the Ting Tings’ catchy summer anthem “That’s Not My Name” opened at No. 1. Madonna, who had enjoyed a four-week reign at the top of the singles, slipped to three with “4 Minutes,” featuring Justin Timberlake.
